Perfect Website for the Field of Policing
Perfect Website for the Field of Policing
Introduction
Hey I'm Etienne and I'm currently a second year student in Police Technology. I'm pursuing my dream as a young boy to become a police officer because I want to save lives and help others. If all goes well for me, I will be a police officer in 2 years. So, I have another year left at the Ahuntsic College and then about half a year at the Quebec Police Academy. My future career plan would be to do a few years on patrol and then work for the forensic identification of a police service. This job would involve retrieving and investigating any evidence on crime scenes.
The Problem
From these facts, I will have to compose long analysis reports on the crime scenes that I have analyzed. Thus, these reports will be written in both French and English.
In addition, I will use terms and words that we do not use frequently in normal life. Indeed, it could be easier to make grammatical and structural errors in my writings.
In this context, my analysis will be presented to a judge. It is therefore essential not to make mistakes and to use beautiful written language in order to look professional.
If you are like me and you will have to write English texts in a professional framework, I will show you the perfect website to match your needs.
The Quest
Let's start, by opening a new tab. You can do that by going on the left-hand top of your screen. Then, type the name of the website in the address bar which is Virtualwritingtutor.com. As you can see by the logo on the top left side of your screen, we are now on the website that will help us with our writing.
There are many features on this website but in our case, we want to improve our writing with the grammar checker. So, under the logo you have the navigation menu that can guide you around the website and a little bit under it you have the instruction that explains how to check correctly your grammar.
The Solution
In my case, the grammar check, and the punctuation check are the most useful tools that can help me. For example, we can use the sentence, "Indeed the murder weapon was relaoded and missing one bullet." There are two mistakes in this sentence, the first one is a lack of a good punctuation and the second is a grammar error. By clicking on the check punctuation box, we can see that the website gives me feedback, the error type and suggestion on my punctuation. Moreover, it is interesting to see your word count, your paragraph count, your error count but also the error density of your text. Plus, you can correct your grammar error by clicking on the grammar check box. In our example we understand that the word "reloaded" was incorrectly written, and we can see the same tools mentioned earlier. Also, another feature that can be interesting is the speech button! If you are not sure about the pronunciation of a word you can use it. For example, the word "manslaughter".
The Conclusion
Here's how you can easily improve your English writing and how you can learn new complicated words, which in my case are related to the police field.
Do as I do and make your life easier using this amazing website and share it to your friends by pressing on the top hand-right icons.
